About Vergent
Vergent is a boutique technology consultancy that blends strategy, product design, and AI-driven automation to help growth-minded companies win more leads, convert them faster, and keep customers for life. From concierge tele-health startups to fintech lenders, we build modern web apps, data dashboards, and process automations that make businesses measurably better. Our culture is equal parts craft, curiosity, and client impact—and we’re expanding our engineering team to meet a growing roster of innovative projects.
The Role
As a Full Stack Engineer at Vergent, you’ll architect, build, and ship production-grade web applications end-to-end. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and data specialists to translate business goals into clean, scalable code across the front-end (React/Next.js) and back-end (Node.js/TypeScript or Python) stacks. Expect green-field projects, direct client interaction, and the freedom to choose the right tools to deliver secure, performant, and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features for web apps, dashboards, and internal tools.
- Build responsive, accessible UIs with React (or similar), integrating reusable component libraries and design tokens.
- Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implement business logic, and optimize database schemas (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent).
- Own CI/CD pipelines, automate tests, and monitor production performance using modern DevOps practices.
- Integrate third-party services (Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, DocuSign, Authorize.net, etc.) and ensure data flows securely.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to internal engineering standards and best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–6 years building and scaling full-stack web applications in a production environment.
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or Vue/Svelte) on the front-end.
- Strong back-end experience in Node.js or Python (Express/Nest.js, FastAPI/Django, or similar).
- Practical knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, query optimization, and schema design.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Commitment to writing clean, test-driven code and a habit of documenting decisions.
- Excellent communication skills—you can explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive salary plus performance-based bonus
- Health coverage
- Flexible PTO and remote-friendly work culture
- Modern equipment and software licenses to keep you productive
- Ongoing professional-development support for courses, conferences, and certifications
